NASA Satellite Visualization
The IRC has partnered with NASA/Goddard to visualize upcoming
satellite missions for Earth and solar system scientific explorations.
Ryan Zuber and Megan Willy, former Visual Arts IRC Fellows are
leading this effort and are directing 2-3 Interns a semester on the
projects. The IRC partners with mission scientists and NASA TV producers
to understand the scope of the project and how to best visually
represent the mission highlights in high definition animation.
Over the last year, the IRC has produced visualizations for the following
missions:
GLORY will study Earth’s atmosphere
MAVEN will observe the Martian atmosphere
VESPER will study the atmosphere of Venus
The Solar Dynamics Observatory will study the sun
