Internships

If you like working in teams, problem solving,
and work in design, animation or have programming skills:
Consider interning at the IRC!

Hundreds of undergraduates and graduate students from the arts, humanities, and science disciplines have interned at the IRC. Students are encouraged to participate in project development while expanding their knowledge, skills and teamwork abilities.

Undergraduate students in any major are eligible to apply for an IRC Internship, Art 494. Students majoring in Visual Arts, Music, Information Systems, or Computer Science are highly encouraged to apply. Prospective interns will meet with IRC staff during the semester before their intended internship semester. Internships require a commitment of 8 hours per week, supervised by the IRC Director or Associate Director.

The IRC is seeking undergraduate students with skills in animation, motion graphics, 2D/3D modeling, game development (Unity or Unreal Engine), audio production, programming, typography, graphic design, and UI/UX design. Selected students will receive training tailored to the specific needs of each project. Because project goals vary each semester, the required skill sets may differ; however, all students will gain valuable experience in teamwork and creative problem-solving, and will complete a portfolio-ready project showcasing their contributions.

To apply, please complete the form below and submit a résumé along with a portfolio website or relevant work samples (as applicable), the semester before starting the internship.
